Baldy Bash

So Nick decided to participate in this fund raiser to help children? I can't remember what disability but he has been going around getting donations to participate.Wyatt and I drove into town with Nick, Esther and Kevin. It was held at the Hard Rock Casino.

There were all kinds of people there donating their talents. There was a face painter and a very talented lady tying balloons. There were also a few celebrities like Smoky the Bear. Kevin took one look at Smoky and kept a weary eye on him the whole time. He didn't like the bear to get too close. Grandpa kept him safe. We bought a few wraffle tickets, there were all these baskets of special prizes and you could choose which ones to put your tickets in. We decided not to try for any of the wine baskets. Esther and Nick won a basket with tickets to a tour on the paddle boat at Lake Mead. Wyatt and I won a double basket with 2 tickets to Nascar and 4 tickets to a hockey game. So we are thinking we are cool with our "major awards"! Nick got in line with all the other participants and they shaved heads for about an hour. They were fast, the shears where sharp and they just went to it. They would make funny cuts before they shaved it all off. At the end of the day there were lots of Police, Fire and etc with no hair. In fact there were so many that those of us with hair looked out of place.
